Editorial Policy

RatingMobile covers phones and headphones. These are the rules every article is held to.

Where our numbers come from

We prefer the manufacturer’s own specification page, then named independent labs and outlets (for example RTINGS, DXOMARK, GSMArena, SoundGuys, The Verge), and use retailer listings only for price and availability. We do not rely on forum posts, leaks presented as fact, or unnamed “reviewers say” claims. When sources disagree we say so instead of quietly choosing one.

We do not run a lab

We do not claim to have tested a device we have not. Every measurement we publish — battery hours, noise-cancelling attenuation, display brightness, charging time — is credited by name to whoever took it, and a manufacturer’s figure is worded as a claim, not as a result. We never invent hands-on experience, quotes or reviewers.

Same model, same variant

Phones and headphones ship in variants that behave differently: storage tiers, regional chipsets, firmware versions. Before we cite a score or a spec we check that it belongs to the exact model and generation we are writing about, and we never carry a previous generation’s result over to a new one. If the exact model has not been tested yet, we say so.

Prices and dates

Prices, scores and “best” lists go out of date, so we date them and tell you where they came from. Treat any price as a snapshot and check the current one before you buy.

Photos and video

Photos are real photographs or official press images of the exact device, credited to their source and licence. We never use generated or rendered images passed off as photos. Videos come from the brand’s own official channel and match the model in the article. If we cannot find a correct image or video, we publish without one.

How we make money

At the time of writing this site carries no advertising and no affiliate links, and nobody pays for coverage. If that changes, paid links will be marked as such, disclosed on this page, and will never influence which device we recommend.

Headlines describe what happened

We do not use headlines designed to provoke a click rather than inform — no manufactured urgency, no misleading numbers, no withheld subject.
